The Galaxy S22+ actually has a similar spec sheet to the Galaxy S22, but not identical. There are some differences between the two. First and foremost, let’s just say that the Galaxy S22+ is made out of metal and glass.

The Galaxy S22+ specifications place the device right between the S22 and S22 Ultra

The phone is considerably larger than the Galaxy S22, and a bit smaller than the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It measures 157.4 x 75.8 x 7.6mm, while it weighs 196 grams. The Galaxy S22+ includes a 6.6-inch fullHD+ (2340 x 1080) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. That display is flat, and it supports an adaptive refresh rate (10-120Hz). It supports a 240Hz touch sampling rate in Game Mode. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.

Samsung utilizes two SoCs, and their availability is market-dependent

Depending on the market, you’ll get either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Exynos 2200 SoC on the inside. Samsung once again decided to use two different processors. These are Qualcomm’s and Samsung’s most powerful mobile SoC at the moment. The Galaxy S22+ includes 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. Do note that the storage is not expandable, as there is no microSD card slot here. Android 12 comes pre-installed along with One UI 4.1, while the phone is also water and dust resistant (IP68 certification)

45W wired charging is supported here, along with wireless charging

A 4,500mAh battery is also included in the package, and 45W wired charging is also supported. The phone does support wireless charging too, and the same goes for reverse wireless charging (Wireless PowerShare, as Samsung calls it). The camera setup is the same as on the Galaxy S22. A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture, 85-degree FoV, 1.0um pixel size) is included on the back. Two additional cameras sit back there. A 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 13mm lens, 120-degree FoV, 1.4um pixel size), and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.4 aperture, 69mm lens, 36-degree FoV, 1.0um pixel size, 3x optical zoom, 30x Space Zoom). A single 10-megapixel camera sits on the front side. That camera is located at the top of the display, and it is centered. We’re looking at an f/2.2 aperture lens here, with a 1.22um pixel size.

It comes with stereo speakers, and 5G support

The device does come with UWB (Ultra Wideband) support, and it supports 5G connectivity (mmWave/Sub6). The phone does include stereo speakers, and has Dolby Atmos support as well. There is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner included, an in-display fingerprint scanner. Bluetooth 5.2 is also a part of the package. The Galaxy S22+ arrives in eight colors, Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, Pink Gold, Graphite, Light Blue, Violet, and Cream. The last four Galaxy S22+ colors are Samsung Shop exclusive. The device measures 157.4 x 75.8 x 7.6mm, and weighs 196 grams.
